With Christmas just round the corner, one of the best places for brands to get involved and spread some cheer, is on social. Although common hashtags like #Christmas and #NewYear are used quite frequently during the holiday season, many brands have incorporated other fun hashtags into their social marketing strategy, including branded hashtags that have a holiday spin.
One of Nexa's favorites has to be Target’s #MyKindOfHoliday campaign. With gift giving inspiration reaching an almost all time low, Target started getting its social media followers into the festive spirit early. Since late October, fans were encouraged to share their unique holiday traditions through social media using the #MyKindofHoliday hashtag. The department store also used the hashtag to run weekly challenges on Instagram and offer last-minute shopping tips via Twitter. It's safe to say the campaign’s gift-giving photos and videos helped tons of last-minute shoppers who were running low on inspiration.
